Singers in Years 2 to 5 can enrol in our Junior Ensembles: Smalley and Tunley, with no audition required.
Singers in Years 6 to 12 seeking to join our Senior and Extension Ensembles: Gardiner, Minchin, Macliver and Grandage, are required to undertake an audition. Please see details below.

The audition is designed to measure:
We ask all singers to prepare a short song or excerpt of a song (1-2 minutes) in any style which comfortably displays their vocal range and ability. This can be performed unaccompanied, or the singer can engage an accompanist to play (at their own expense).
All auditions are conducted in a formal but relaxed manner and our artistic team are very supportive of all ages and levels of experience. Our auditions are generally 20 minutes, however, we understand that everyone handles auditions differently. Some sessions may run longer to allow the singer more time to feel comfortable so they can best demonstrate their musical knowledge.
We recommend that singers have a background in reading/following music (ie. through learning an instrument), or have completed grade 1 theory, so that they are able to keep up with the pace of rehearsals and achieve success in the audition.
